Another Surgery for little Ellie

This last Friday sweet little Ellie had to have an unexpected surgery.  She had not been acting herself over the last week; sleeping a lot, spitting up, and just acting very uncomfortable.  Libby and Tabor had just been down to Indy the week prior and the doctor at that time was not happy with the growth of her head but had said they should just monitor it over the course of the next month.  Well b/c she wasn't acting herself they made an appointment for her to go back down to Indy to see her neurosurgeon.  They did a couple of test and determined that her shunt they placed in her head was not working at all.  So what that means is this poor little girl had go through yet another surgery.  This precious little girl just a month old going under for the third time.  My sister had a terrible experience this time around.  The surgery went well however they had to wait for 12 hrs before an operating room opened up.  Which means 12 hrs of not feeding a 5 week old baby.  For those of you who have children you can imagine how hard this was for them.  After the surgery it only got worse.  They had to share a room with another baby and her parents.  The other baby was fine but the parents were either yelling at each other all night or their phones were constantly ringing.   So this meant NO SLEEP for all three of them.  Ellie did well with her surgery and was sent home then next day.  This little girl is absolutely the strongest little girl I know.  I wish she didn't have to go through all of this but I know that it will only make her stronger as she grows.  We all know that it could be worse and thank God every day that she is as healthy as she is!!!
