On the Mend

This past week Lincoln was sick AGAIN!! This time we really have no clue what he had.  He ran a high fever for three days.  It stayed around 103.3 most of the time.   The only way we could even get it down to around 100 was to give him a luke warm bath and then keep rotating the Tylenol and Motrin.  The doctor tested him for strep, checked his ears, and did some blood work and we got nothing.  He said it was probably just a virus of some sort but after having the high fever for three days he went ahead and gave him an antibiotic just in case.  Today is is doing 100% better.  The fever has been gone for almost 2 days now and he is back to being himself.

We have a busy busy week coming up.  Sunday is my FAVORITE holiday....THE 4TH OF JULY!!!!  I am involved in the LaPorte Jaycees which is the organization that plans all of the 4th activities; arts and crafts festival, Beer Barns, the Parade, and it ends with the Fireworks.  My duty is to secure a flyover to kick off our parade.  I am happy to say we have one!!!!  The parade that we put on is the largest parade in the state of Indiana and LaPorte gets declared Capital for the day!!!  We all work really hard putting this together all year long and it's exciting that it is finally  here!!!
